TikTok has shuttered its Nashville midtown office and eliminated its entire local workforce. The platform justified the restructuring as necessary to simplify operations and reposition teams for sustained growth, whilst reaffirming its commitment to its 200 million American users. The decision is notable given that the company had only recently established the Nashville presence in 2024, following years of operations from a downtown shared workspace.

The closure represents one instalment in an ongoing series of workforce adjustments at the company. Earlier cuts eliminated approximately 15 positions across the U.S. and Latin American music divisions in October, with additional UK-based staff also notified of terminations. These reductions extend a pattern initiated in 2023, when the company reduced artist services roles, suggesting a sustained effort to recalibrate operations across multiple geographies and departments.
