Paramount+ has announced that "The Varnell Hill Show," a spinoff of the classic sitcom "Martin," will premiere on 1 September 2026. The show marks an expansion of the "Martin" franchise onto Paramount+ and follows Varnell as he tries to stay relevant amid a changing television industry.

The eight-episode first season will air weekly on Tuesdays, concluding with a finale on 13 October. Davidson and Lawrence are executive producing alongside Bentley Kyle Evans, who also serves as showrunner, writer and director. The ensemble cast includes Kym Whitley, Wendy Raquel Robinson, Neil Brown Jr. and Chris Williams, with guest stars such as Damon Wayans, Mike Epps and Omarion, and the series is produced in association with BET Studios.
