2026 FIFA World Cup Helps Fox Score a Huge Quarter
Fox Corp reported a blowout fiscal fourth quarter, with the 2026 FIFA World Cup driving a substantial boost in advertising revenue. The tournament, broadcast by Fox, significantly lifted the company's overall financial performance, and executives expect the momentum to continue into the next quarter's results.
Revenue reached $4.2 billion, up 28 percent year-on-year, while adjusted EBITDA rose 27 percent to $1.2 billion. Advertising revenue surged to $1.9 billion from $1.1 billion a year earlier, with the television segment (including Fox and Tubi) seeing ad revenue jump 108 percent, or $755 million, to $1.5 billion. Chief executive Lachlan Murdoch also pointed to the launch of streaming service Fox One, growth at Tubi, and the announced acquisition of Roku as key milestones for the year.
