Benny The Butcher – “Summer ’26”
Griselda rapper Benny The Butcher has released "Summer '26," the latest instalment in his annual summer single series, marking the third such release in the run. The track pairs the New York MC's dense lyricism with lush production from Harry Fraud, who builds the beat around a sample of the Lovin' Spoonful's 1966 hit "Summer In The City."
The song sees Benny reference basketball's New York Knicks and NFL great Terrell Davis, while also taking aim at podcast culture and media outlets, including a pointed line about not needing hip-hop publication Complex to validate his standing. A video for the single, directed by ProlificKid Films, has also been released alongside the track.
