Perez Hilton’s Children Were Inside Home Minutes Before Disturbing Livestream, Family Says
Perez Hilton's family has revealed that his three children, along with his niece and sister, were inside his home just minutes before he began a disturbing livestream showing acts of self-harm. In a statement posted to Hilton's website, the family said they fled the property to shield the children once it became clear he was experiencing a severe mental health crisis, and they have since asked media and the public to stay away from the family home to protect the children's privacy while they recover.
The incident occurred on the night of 4 August, when Miami-Dade County Sheriff's deputies responded after receiving multiple calls about a livestream depicting self-harm; footage circulating online showed Hilton, the celebrity gossip blogger behind PerezHilton.com, covered in blood. Deputies initially found him alone at the property, monitored the situation, then safely recovered him and took him to hospital for treatment; his social media account has since been removed from TikTok. Hilton, a single father of children aged 13, 11 and eight born via surrogacy, was earlier reported to be in "serious but stable" condition requiring surgery.
