Adam Sandler Celebrates ‘Grown Ups 3’ Starting Production: “We Missed You”
Adam Sandler has confirmed that "Grown Ups 3" has begun filming in New Jersey, with Netflix and Sony reuniting much of the original cast for the third instalment of the comedy franchise that began in 2010. Director Kyle Newacheck, who previously helmed Netflix's "Happy Gilmore 2", is taking the reins for a script written by Sandler and his frequent collaborator Tim Herlihy, marking a long-awaited return for the ensemble comedy series.
Returning stars include Sandler, Kevin James, Chris Rock, David Spade, Rob Schneider, Maya Rudolph, Maria Bello and Salma Hayek Pinault, alongside supporting players such as Shaquille O'Neal and Nick Swardson. Newcomers to the franchise include Julie Bowen, Deon Cole and Bailee Madison, though plot details and a release date remain unannounced. The original "Grown Ups" grossed over $270 million worldwide in 2010, and its 2013 sequel added Andy Samberg, Taylor Lautner and Patrick Schwarzenegger to the cast.
