Punk musician and writer Henry Rollins, best known as the former frontman of Black Flag and the Rollins Band, is set to publish a new memoir titled "Bait Dog Boy". The book will focus on his difficult upbringing in Washington, D.C., and his path into the city's punk scene, offering fans and readers a candid, first-person account of formative experiences he has previously avoided discussing at length.

Published by Penguin Random House, the 304-page memoir is due for release on 2 March 2027 and is already available for pre-order. According to the publisher, it charts Rollins' childhood spent between neglectful parents and abusive adults, through to his pivotal friendship with Ian MacKaye and their shared discovery of punk rock. It is described as written in Rollins' characteristically blunt and acerbic style, marking his latest literary work following titles such as 1994's "Get in the Van: On the Road With Black Flag".
