R&B singer Ne-Yo has been sued for negligence after a woman delivering a package to his Georgia home claimed his dog "viciously attacked" her, biting her leg. The lawsuit, filed by plaintiff Dominique Bridgett in Fulton County, alleges the singer knew the dog had a history of aggressive behaviour but failed to restrain it in line with leash and animal-control laws, and comes amid heightened scrutiny of celebrity dog-attack liability following a major jury award against Chris Brown earlier this year.

Bridgett claims the incident occurred on 12 July 2025 at Ne-Yo's home in Alpharetta, outside Atlanta, and says she did nothing to provoke the animal. She states she has already spent $9,039.50 on medical treatment and is seeking further damages for future pain and suffering and "lost capacity for enjoyment of life," with a jury trial requested. The case echoes a similar lawsuit against Chris Brown, in which a housekeeper mauled by his dog in 2020 was awarded $13 million in damages by a Los Angeles jury in June.
