Ricky Martin has marked the 18th birthday of his twin sons, Matteo and Valentino, sharing a throwback photograph on Instagram Stories showing the pair as young boys jumping into a swimming pool. The Grammy-winning singer, who welcomed the twins via surrogacy in 2008, captioned the post celebrating "the loves of my life" and soundtracked it with his 2011 song "Lo Mejor de Mi Vida Eres Tú".

Martin, a father of four, has previously spoken openly about explaining surrogacy to his twins and about raising his children as an LGBTQ+ parent alongside his other two children, Lucía, seven, and Renn, six, born in 2018 and 2019 with his former partner Jwan Yosef. He has described his family as part of "a modern family", reflecting his long-standing candour about parenthood in the public eye.
