Quake Adds Free 30th Anniversary Campaign for All PS5 Players, Developed by MachineGames
To mark three decades since its original release, Quake is receiving a substantial free update for PlayStation console owners. The expansion, developed by MachineGames, adds a 19-level campaign alongside fresh musical compositions and a new competitive multiplayer map, making the title a more complete package for existing players.
The narrative campaign positions series protagonist Ranger within a cyclical temporal dimension from which he must escape by confronting The Nightmare Machine. The update arrives ahead of Quakecon, an annual gaming event associated with the franchise, and coincides with promotional discounts on the base game and its sequel.
