Lies Of P Switch 2 Update Adds New Handheld Graphics Option And Fixes Other Issues

Nintendo Life ·

Neowiz and Round8 Studio have released a patch for Lies of P: Complete Edition on Nintendo Switch 2, addressing performance problems that were flagged shortly after the game's launch on the console this week. The update matters for handheld players in particular, as it introduces a new graphics preset aimed at delivering smoother frame rates while playing away from the dock, alongside fixes to existing display options.

The update adds a third Handheld Mode graphics option, a "Performance-centered" preset supporting up to 60fps, while the previous performance-focused setting has been renamed "Balanced". It also fixes the "Quality-centered" mode in handheld play, which had been rendering at a lower resolution than intended, and lets players toggle motion blur on or off in TV Mode. Nintendo Life previously awarded the Switch 2 version nine out of ten stars, and a physical release is planned for 2nd October 2026.

In short

  • Lies of P Switch 2 gets a patch fixing performance issues
  • New handheld graphics preset targets up to 60fps
  • Physical version of the game arrives 2nd October 2026

Explained simply

Lies of P is an action role-playing game developed by South Korea’s Round8 Studio and published by Neowiz. It reimagines the story of Pinocchio in a dark city, where players fight enemies and explore areas while improving their character.

The Complete Edition brings the game to Nintendo Switch 2, which can be played on a television when docked or as a handheld. Graphics options let players choose between visual quality and smoother movement, a trade-off that can be more noticeable on a portable screen.
