Olivia Rodrigo played a surprise, sold-out show at Warsaw in Brooklyn, debuting most of the songs from her new album, “You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love”. The intimate performance gave fans an early live preview ahead of her forthcoming festival and tour, while demonstrating her ability to handle demanding new material in difficult heat.

Tickets were sold only at the 1,100-capacity venue’s box office, prompting fans to queue in conditions that felt like 105°F. Rodrigo opened with “Drop Dead”, performed eight new songs including “Maggots for Brains”, “The Cure” and “Less Than”, and mixed them with earlier hits such as “Drivers License”, “Good 4 U” and “Déjà Vu”; her “Unraveled” tour begins on 25 September.
