Willem Dafoe has said he would consider joining the James Bond franchise in a live-action role if the right opportunity arose. The actor previously played villain Nikolai Diavolo in the 2004 game James Bond 007: Everything or Nothing, which marked Pierce Brosnan’s final performance as 007, and his interest could make him a potential antagonist for the next Bond film.

Speaking to Collider, Dafoe recalled that the game’s voice recording was completed quickly, with him improvising the character’s accent, but said audiences had since told him they enjoyed the performance. He avoided encouraging speculation about a new casting, while saying Bond had been part of his life since childhood and that he would seriously consider an offer.
