Macca’s Lovely Linda lookalike! First look at Saoirse Ronan as Paul McCartney’s beloved late wife Linda in new Beatles biopic

First-look filming images have emerged from Sam Mendes's forthcoming Beatles biopic, showing Saoirse Ronan as Linda McCartney arriving by black cab with her young daughter Stella at Paul McCartney's St John's Wood townhouse. The scenes, set in the 1970s, offer an early glimpse of how the four-film project will portray the band members' personal lives, with Paul Mescal starring as Sir Paul McCartney opposite Ronan's Linda.

Ronan wore period-accurate 1970s clothing including a pink blouse and floral mini skirt, while the child actress playing Stella appeared in a suede jacket. Linda, whose maiden name was Eastman, married Paul in 1969 and remained his partner until her death from breast cancer in 1998, having also performed alongside him in Wings. The wider cast includes Harris Dickinson as John Lennon, Joseph Quinn as George Harrison, Barry Keoghan as Ringo Starr, and Lucy Boynton as Paul's former girlfriend Jane Asher, with all four films due for simultaneous release in 2028.
