Ivy League student who refuses to work for Jewish people bizarrely moans about cell tower as he posts unhinged white supremacist screed

Daily Mail ·

Austin Franco, a 19-year-old student at Cornell University, has provoked widespread condemnation after telling a prospective employer he was "not interested in working for a Jew" and refusing to retract or apologise for the remark. Gabe Einhorn, chief executive of anti-fraud firm VryfID, published a screenshot of Franco's message on the careers platform Handshake, sparking online fury and prompting Franco's parents to evict him from their Virginia home.

Franco has since moved to Ithaca, New York, funded by more than $37,500 raised through two online fundraisers, and complained in a bizarre tweet that a nearby 5G mast was giving him headaches. He also published a nearly 1,700-word Substack essay endorsing racial hierarchy and eugenics-tinged views on "breeding". His mother, Diana, said the family found his beliefs "morally repugnant" and blamed his radicalisation on extremist online content, but Franco has dismissed this, insisting his views stem from personal experience.
