EXCLUSIVE: Teen girls recall Jersey Shore ride malfunction that left them stuck hanging upside down
A mechanical failure on the Wipe Out attraction at the Ocean City Boardwalk in New Jersey left more than a dozen passengers suspended upside down in the days following the Fourth of July holiday. The malfunction trapped riders on the popular thrill ride during what should have been a routine operation.
Amongst those affected were teenage riders Charlotte Hacker and Emilia Gordon, who recounted the frightening experience of being stuck in the inverted position. Their firsthand accounts underscored the alarming circumstances of the incident and the anxiety passengers endured whilst stranded on the malfunctioning ride.
