Fontaines D.C. returned to the stage on 8 August 2026 with their first full headline show of the year, performing at Baluarte de la Candelaria in Cádiz, Spain, and debuted two new songs, 'Marianne' and 'Six Shot Morning'. The gig marked the Irish band's first show in almost a year and their first headline performance since the sudden death of their manager Trevor Dietz, whom they described as "the sixth member of the band" when announcing his passing in June.

'Marianne', played early in the set, showcased a more industrial sound, while 'Six Shot Morning', performed during the encore, was built around a spacey synth and pulsing bassline. The show followed the band's appearance at the final ever BBC live session at Maida Vale, and guitarist Carlos O'Connell had earlier told NME the band might play new material live. Fontaines D.C. will continue touring Europe this month before headlining Reading & Leeds 2026, having also recently contributed music to the Peaky Blinders: Immortal Man soundtrack and War Child's 'Help(2)' album.
