Indian actor Kiran Abbavaram will star in a new mythological action film titled 'Indraputra' produced by Zee Studios, with direction by Srikanth Puppala. The character-driven narrative explores the philosophical conflict between dharma and adharma within Hindu tradition, requiring Abbavaram to deliver both emotional depth and significant physical performance work. Production begins in October, with supporting cast and release details to follow.

Framed as the inaugural instalment of a broader mythological universe, the project aims to reach audiences across multiple Indian languages whilst maintaining visual spectacle and contemporary emotional relevance. Producer Prerna Arora, alongside director Puppala, emphasised the ambition to adapt India's rich mythological heritage at ambitious scale for modern viewers. Puppala's previous work included assistant director roles on major regional productions before taking on this feature-length opportunity.
