West Ham United ‘keeping eye’ on Sheffield Wednesday-linked goal machine – Yorkshire Post

West Ham United are reportedly monitoring free-agent striker Jamie Vardy, who has also been linked with Sheffield Wednesday. The interest matters because West Ham are seeking experienced attacking options as they aim to return to the Premier League, while Vardy remains available after leaving Cremonese.

Vardy, 39, scored seven goals in 29 Serie A appearances for Cremonese last season and has not indicated that he plans to retire. The former Leicester City forward has a record of 200 goals for Leicester, including 145 in the Premier League, but reports suggest West Ham are only watching his situation rather than pursuing a confirmed deal.
