‘Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag’ Sequel Officially Confirmed for 2026 Release
IO Interactive-published gaming franchise Assassin's Creed is getting a fourth manga volume, "Assassin's Creed: Forgotten Temple," confirmed for release on 24 September 2026 and now available for pre-order via Amazon. The instalment continues the story of pirate-Assassin Edward Kenway and appears to mark the character's final chapter, arriving on the back of strong fan demand following the recent Black Flag remake's success.
The manga's official description teases a last "swashbuckling mission" for Kenway involving shifting allegiances and battles with the Templars, alongside a parallel storyline in which present-day character Kim is mysteriously gaining Kenway's combat abilities through his memories. It follows the July 2026 release of Assassin's Creed: Black Flag Resynced, a ground-up remake that sold over three million copies and reignited appetite for content in the style of the franchise's earlier games.
