ITV comedy panel show Sorry, I Didn't Know has been renewed for a seventh season, extending its record as the longest-running programme from a Black-led production company a decade after it was first commissioned from TriForce Productions. Producers and the network say the renewal also makes it the longest-running Black TV show in British history, overtaking Channel 4's Desmond's and BBC Two's The Real McCoy, though such records are difficult to verify definitively.

Host Chizzy Akudolu, who has appeared in every episode since the 2016 pilot and took over hosting duties from Jimmy Akingbola in season six, will return alongside team captains Richard Blackwood and Eddie Kadi for the new season, which is being filmed this summer in front of a live London audience ahead of its later-2026 broadcast on ITV1 and ITV's streaming service. The Black history quiz show has previously featured guests including Adjoa Andoh, Munya Chawawa and Jamelia, with no talent announced yet for season seven; the commission comes from ITV's Katie Rawcliffe and Gemma John-Lewis, with Fraser Ayers, Minnie Ayres and Akingbola executive producing for TriForce.
