Anya Taylor-Joy's big-budget "Mad Max" prequel, which underperformed at the box office on its 2024 release, is now streaming on HBO Max in the United States and has built a strong cult following in the two years since. The film adds to a run of recent home-viewing successes for the actress, reinforcing her reputation as one of streaming's most reliable draws even as her theatrical track record remains mixed.

The film joins other Taylor-Joy titles doing well on streaming and home video, including the Apple TV crime series "Lucky" alongside Annette Bening, Drew Starkey and Timothy Olyphant, the 2025 Apple TV film "The Gorge", and "The Super Mario Galaxy Movie", which recently launched on Peacock. She is next set to appear in "Dune: Part Three", the concluding chapter of Denis Villeneuve's sci-fi trilogy, due later this year.
