Netflix’s New Sci-Fi Thriller Officially Gets a Sequel Update From Wagner Moura

Collider · 4 hours ago

Actor Wagner Moura has discussed the making of Netflix's new sci-fi thriller The Last House and shared an update on the prospects of a sequel. Directed by Louis Leterrier, the single-location film follows a family of four trapped in their home as a mysterious threat lurks outside, and Moura told Collider's Steven Weintraub that the shoot proved unexpectedly gruelling despite his experience on physically intense projects such as Narcos and Civil War.

Moura, fresh off an Oscar nomination for The Secret Agent, stars opposite Greta Lee alongside Gabriel Barbosa, Emma Ho, Noah Alexander Sosnowski and Riley Chung. He revealed that filming chronologically meant the most demanding sequences, involving extended time in water, came in the final two to three weeks of production, which he described as the hardest physical challenge of his career. The interview also touched on the film's ending and the fate of its characters, as well as Moura's upcoming role alongside Kristen Stewart in Panos Cosmatos's horror film Flesh of the Gods.
