Disney+ and Hulu have struck a licensing deal with iHeartMedia to bring six video podcasts to the streaming platforms, expanding their push into podcast content. The agreement reflects growing demand for video-based podcasts and gives Disney's streamers access to established fan bases from iHeartPodcasts' roster of celebrity and franchise-tied shows.

The lineup includes Hey Jonas! from the Jonas Brothers, launching on both platforms on 14 August with a Camp Rock-themed episode, followed by content from the trio's D23 appearance. Also joining are Thanks Dad with Ego Nwodim, Pod Meets World, Fake Doctors, Real Friends with Zach and Donald featuring Scrubs stars Zach Braff and Donald Faison, Desperately Devoted (a Desperate Housewives rewatch podcast debuting with video on 2 November) and StraightioLab. Executives from both Disney and iHeartMedia framed the deal as a way to deepen fan engagement, adding to an existing slate of licensed and rewatch podcasts already available on the two streaming services.
