Marvel Comics has announced X-Orcists, a new five-issue limited series putting Illyana Rasputin, better known as Magik, at the centre of the X-Men line-up once again. The series continues the character's recent surge in popularity, following recent solo outings, and reunites writer Ashley Allen and artist Germán Peralta, who previously worked together on Magik and Magik & Colossus. It marks the third consecutive project the pair have led focused on the character.

In X-Orcists, Magik teams up with Juggernaut and Madelyne Pryor, the current Queen of Limbo, to confront a demon that has escaped Limbo and begun attacking humans and mutants alike. All three characters have deep ties to the Limbo dimension, and Marvel has hinted that further mystical heroes, potentially including the newly revealed character Repent, could also feature. Issue #1 is scheduled for release on 18 November.
