ZZ Top cancelled their Los Angeles concert at the Hollywood Bowl last week following health difficulties involving drummer Frank Beard. The band announced the decision via social media, with frontman Billy Gibbons describing the situation as presenting "insurmountable obstacles" while thanking fans for their patience during the temporary halt to performances.

Rather than abandoning their touring schedule, the group will resume their current North American tour with replacement drummer Michael Monahan. Beard, who has served as the band's drummer for over 55 years since 1971, has previously needed to step away from touring for medical reasons, including an emergency appendectomy in 2002. The band remains committed to completing their extensive schedule of upcoming shows across multiple states.
