Netflix has confirmed that its teen thriller "The Body" will premiere on 11 November, alongside the release of first-look photos. The eight-episode series, created and directed by Quinn Shephard, draws on 1990s and Y2K teen horror films such as "Carrie" and "Jennifer's Body", and follows a group of Catholic schoolgirls who begin experiencing prophecy-like visions after a dance-team initiation goes badly wrong, plunging their town into panic.
The cast includes Kristina Bogic, Sara Boustany, Geena Meszaros, Nnamdi Asomugha, Louisa Krause, Jackson Kelly and Sofia Wylie, with a substantial recurring ensemble also announced.
