Shabazz Palaces, the project led by Ishmael Butler, will release a new album titled It's a Style Sport on 23 October via Sub Pop. It marks his follow-up to the consecutive mini-albums Exotic Birds of Prey and Robed in Rareness, continuing the prolific run of releases from the Seattle rapper and producer, who first rose to prominence as Butterfly in Digable Planets before reinventing himself with Shabazz Palaces.

The ten-track record is produced by Butler alongside Erik Blood, with contributions from Marquette Miller, Thaddillac, Evan Flory-Barnes, Gerald "Tugboat" Turner, Kassa Overall and Carlos Overall. Its lead single, "Ahh World (I Won the Alpha Bet)," has been released alongside the announcement, with other tracks including "Field Notes," "Jheri Curl Jump" and "Money Can't Save Your Mind."
