Traitors claim their first victim as Richard E Grant tries to save his skin
Traitors Richard E Grant and Maya Jama recruited James Acaster and murdered broadcaster Amol Rajan, making him the first player eliminated in the second episode of The Celebrity Traitors. The twist gave the traitors an early advantage, while Grant spent much of the episode trying to undo suspicion after openly claiming to be a traitor earlier.
Rajan said he was gutted to leave first and wondered whether his earlier confrontational exchange with Grant had contributed. The episode peaked at 8.6 million viewers, just below the debut’s average of 8.9 million. Jama said she was surprised by how easily she could lie, while Acaster agreed to join the traitors because he feared they would kill him if he refused.

The Celebrity Traitors is a game show in which a group of famous people compete to win money, with the twist that some of them are secretly chosen as "traitors". The traitors' role is to eliminate other players without being discovered, whilst the remaining "faithful" players try to identify who the traitors are.
This is the British version of an international game that has become hugely popular with audiences. This season features well-known British celebrities, and viewers must watch carefully as the traitors try to hide their identities whilst the faithfuls attempt to expose them.
The show creates compelling drama through a daily cycle of suspicion and accusation, where the group never knows who amongst them is working against them. Every evening, the traitors secretly eliminate a player, and every morning, the remaining group must vote to remove someone they suspect.
