TCM's documentary podcast series "The Plot Thickens" will devote its next season to director Stanley Kubrick, exploring the life and work of one of cinema's most influential and reclusive filmmakers. The 11-episode season, titled "Stanley" and hosted by Ben Mankiewicz in partnership with the Criterion Collection, premieres on 24 September and includes a previously unheard 1972 audio interview with Kubrick conducted around the release of A Clockwork Orange.

The season features new interviews with figures including Steven Spielberg, Sofia Coppola, George Miller and Kubrick's stepdaughter Katharina Kubrick, with fresh episodes released every Thursday. TCM will also air all of Kubrick's feature films, from Fear and Desire (1952) to Eyes Wide Shut (1999), across four consecutive Thursdays from 3 September, while Criterion prepares a "Complete Kubrick" box set for release in October.
