Billboard · 3 hours ago

Chicago rapper Vic Mensa has launched a new podcast, The Vic Mensa Show, which debuted on 10 August with its first episode—featuring fellow Chicago artist Chance The Rapper as a guest—due out on 26 August. The venture builds on the success of Mensa's Webby-winning Orange Tree video series, extending his socio-political commentary into a longer-form conversational format aimed at deepening dialogue on culture, politics and the human condition.

Season one will run to 24 episodes, released weekly on Wednesdays, with guests including Durand Bernarr, Rapsody, Lena Waithe, Aja Monet and cultural critic Van Lathan Jr. The show is produced in partnership with Mass Appeal and Mensa's new company ORANJ, and will be available on Spotify, Apple and YouTube. The 33-year-old, whose last album Victor came out in 2023, has remained active in Chicago community and activism work, and appeared on Chance The Rapper's 2025 album Star Line.
