Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker has opened up about the suicidal thoughts he experienced in the aftermath of the horrific 2008 plane crash that killed his security guard and personal assistant. He shared the details in a conversation with podcaster Jay Shetty, timed to coincide with the release of his new documentary, Travis Barker: Louder Than Fear, which is due to stream this week.

The private jet crashed on take-off from Columbia Metropolitan Airport in South Carolina on 19 September 2008, killing the pilot and co-pilot from smoke inhalation and burns, along with Barker's security guard, Charles Still, and his assistant, Chris Baker. Barker and his friend Adam "DJ AM" Goldstein survived the crash, but Barker has described the psychological toll it took on him afterwards, saying "there was no light at the end of the tunnel" as he struggled with suicidal feelings in its wake.
