Disney will livestream a Kingdom Hearts panel from D23 on 16 August at 12.30am UK time, prompting expectations of fresh Kingdom Hearts 4 information. The involvement of Square Enix’s Tai Yasue, thought to be the game’s co-director, alongside key voice actors makes an update plausible, though Disney has not confirmed any announcement.

Kingdom Hearts 4 was announced in 2022 and received its first gameplay showing at a June 2026 Nintendo Direct after a long period of limited news. Square Enix has confirmed simultaneous releases for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch 2, but has yet to provide a release date or launch window; the game follows Sora in the city of Quadratum.
