Google has introduced the Pixel 11 Pro and Pixel 11 Pro XL, positioning its flagship phones against Samsung’s Galaxy S26 Ultra ahead of the autumn smartphone launch season. The comparison matters because Pixel devices showcase Google’s latest Android, Tensor chip and Gemini AI features, while Samsung remains the leading Android hardware rival; however, real-world testing is still needed to establish performance and camera results.

On paper, the Pixel 11 Pro XL is closer than previous Pixels to Samsung’s flagship, although the smaller 6.3-inch Pixel 11 Pro is less directly comparable with the 6.9-inch Galaxy. Both Pixel models use Google’s Tensor G6 chip, claimed to be 20% more power-efficient with 50% more AI processing capability, while Samsung uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5; all offer 256GB, 512GB and 1TB options, with 12GB RAM on lower capacities and 16GB on 1TB models. The Pixels have 120Hz LTPO OLED displays reaching 3,600 nits, compared with the Galaxy’s 120Hz 1440p LTPO AMOLED display at 2,600 nits, although Samsung includes a narrow-view Privacy Display feature.
