Steven Spielberg to Be Honored at Museum of Modern Art’s Film Benefit in New York
Steven Spielberg will be honoured at the Museum of Modern Art’s annual Film Benefit, presented by Chanel, in New York on 12 November. The recognition highlights his long-standing influence as both a filmmaker and entertainer, as well as his work supporting film preservation, which aligns with MoMA’s mission.
MoMA’s tribute will include a screening series, with eight Spielberg films held in its collection, including Jaws, E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial and Raiders of the Lost Ark. Spielberg, an EGOT winner, has received three Oscars and numerous major honours; the fundraiser will support MoMA’s film collection, programming and preservation work.
