Godflesh have announced their tenth and penultimate album, ‘Decay’, due for release on 25 September 2026 through Relapse Records, alongside the new single ‘Living/Ending’. The release matters as it marks another major chapter for the influential industrial metal band, formed 38 years ago by Justin Broadrick and bassist Ben Green.

The six-track album was drawn from the same writing sessions as 2023’s ‘Purge’, although its release was delayed while Broadrick sought a label rather than self-releasing it. Broadrick said he substantially revisited the completed recordings, and confirmed they were finished before major abdominal surgery earlier this year, though parts of two songs were recorded while he was dealing with a hernia.
