MUDVAYNE’s CHAD GRAY Says His Upcoming U.S Solo Tour Will Be ‘The Big Test’: ‘Do People Really Wanna See This?’
Mudvayne and Hellyeah vocalist Chad Gray says his forthcoming US solo tour will test whether audiences will support him outside either band. The “30 Years Of Madnesss” shows celebrate his three-decade career and give him a chance to perform material from both groups during a year without Mudvayne touring.
Gray said three of his first five solo dates sold out, while another sold only 200 fewer tickets than a Mudvayne show at the same venue. He will be backed by Marcus Rafferty, Devin Attard, Nick Villarreal and Joe Bonasorte, with Butcher Babies and Devil’s Cut supporting; the tour also follows Hellyeah’s inactivity since its 2020 tour cancellation.
- Chad Gray’s solo tour will test his independent drawing power.
- Shows feature songs by Mudvayne and Hellyeah.
- Early solo dates have sold strongly.
