Garth Brooks has added Washington, D.C. to his Blame It All On My Roots tour, his first major tour in nearly three years. The announcement matters because it extends a deliberately staggered run of dates that has already generated substantial demand in Indianapolis, Denver and Chicago.

Tickets for the Washington concerts were due to go on sale on Friday, 21 August through Ticketmaster, without a pre-sale or advance box-office sale. Every seat was priced at $155, including a $140 ticket, $5 facility fee and $10 service charge; the tour is also intended to provide material for a new live album.
