FlightAware has withdrawn its lawsuit against prediction market platform Kalshi just one day after filing it, dismissing the case without prejudice. The dispute concerned Kalshi’s use of flight data for markets on cancellations, and its rapid withdrawal leaves the companies’ relationship and the reason for the reversal unclear.

Kalshi has changed its wording from saying cancellations were “verified from FlightAware” to “verified from Primary Source Agency”, while continuing to link to FlightAware and adding a non-endorsement disclaimer. FlightAware had also alleged reputational damage and breach of its terms of use; meanwhile, New York sued Kalshi in July 2026, alleging it operates an illegal gambling business.
