Marc Turtletaub will direct a feature-film adaptation of Ben Reeves’ novel *Everything Was Beautiful and Nothing Hurt*, with Oren Moverman writing the screenplay. The project brings together Turtletaub and Moverman again after their work on *Puzzle* and the forthcoming *Borges and Me*, and is set to be filmed in the UK.

The novel follows Travis, whose work involves comforting people in their final hours, until he befriends his neighbour Dalia and her eight-year-old daughter Layla. It reached the *New York Times* bestseller list in its first week; Turtletaub described it as special while revealing the adaptation ahead of the Edinburgh International Film Festival, where *Borges and Me* premieres on 15 August.
