Noah Schnapp, known for playing Will Byers in Netflix’s “Stranger Things”, will make his stage debut in London in “Affluenza” at Riverside Studios. The production opens the venue’s Mainstage Season 2026/27 and examines how wealth and privilege can affect moral responsibility and the justice system.

Written and directed by artistic director Andy Sandberg, “Affluenza” runs from 26 September to 21 November and is set among wealthy families in the Hamptons. Its plot follows the consequences of a teenager’s drunken car journey, with Schnapp playing two roles; the play is inspired by real events connected to the controversial “affluenza” legal defence.
