OLED monitors more popular than ever says analyst firm, which makes sense as one of the few good deals left in PC gaming

OLED PC monitors became markedly more popular in 2025, with global shipments nearly doubling as lower prices and strong gaming-focused models encouraged more buyers. The trend matters because OLED’s superior contrast and rapid response times are moving from a premium niche towards broader adoption, although LCD monitors remain far cheaper and more common.

TrendForce estimates 2.735 million OLED monitors were shipped in 2025, up 92% year on year, and forecasts a further 51% rise in 2026 to more than four million units. Popular 27-inch, 1440p, 240Hz models helped drive demand; Asus led the market with 21.6%, ahead of Samsung on 19.3% and MSI on 13.1%. OLED prices have only recently fallen below $400, while comparable high-refresh LCD screens can cost under $130.

  • OLED monitor shipments rose 92% in 2025.
  • Cheaper 1440p 240Hz models boosted gaming demand.
  • OLED remains a growing but premium display option.
