Leicester City put up for sale for more than £200m
Leicester City’s owners, King Power, are seeking to sell the club after 16 years, with the sale package valued at more than £200m. The move follows back-to-back relegations that have left the former Premier League champions in League One, amid financial losses, debt and growing supporter pressure for a change of ownership.
Citigroup has prepared a sales brochure covering Leicester City, its women’s team, King Power Stadium, the Seagrave training ground and Belgian sister club OH Leuven. The club’s physical assets are valued above £200m, while turnover is forecast to exceed £97m in 2026; however, the brochure does not specify a price for the teams and omits £103.6m in bank loans and losses exceeding £180m during recent years.
