Neal McDonough & Skeet Ulrich To Star In Psychological Horror Film ‘Deify’
Neal McDonough and Skeet Ulrich have joined the cast of Deify, an independent psychological horror film from filmmaking brothers Carmelo and Nicholas Chimera. The project centres on the trial of a cult leader whose followers died in a fire, setting up a clash between faith, manipulation and the criminal justice system.
McDonough will play an assistant attorney general prosecuting the case, while Ulrich portrays the cult leader, who claims insanity and says God directed him. Written by Nicholas Chimera and due to shoot in Chicago, the film draws some inspiration from the 1993 Waco siege involving the Branch Davidians; it will be produced by Jordan Gianeschi, Jacob Rice and Mike Manning.
