BBC Entertainment · 4 hours ago

Actress Lucy Davis has thanked supporters after revealing she has incurable breast cancer that has spread to her bones. The former The Office star said the public response had been “utterly overwhelming” and described the kindness and support as emotional, while using humour and a skateboarding video to lighten the mood.

Davis, 53, said she was diagnosed around 18 months ago and that it was too late for chemotherapy after the cancer spread. Her father, comedian Jasper Carrott, said the family had supported her throughout, while former colleagues including Ricky Gervais and US Office actor Jenna Fischer also sent messages; Fischer highlighted the comfort that work can provide during cancer treatment.
