Come September, you won’t need a single Total War: Warhammer game to play its colossal, trilogy-spanning Immortal Empires campaign

PC Gamer · 3 hours ago

Creative Assembly will make Total War: Warhammer III’s Immortal Empires campaign available to anyone who owns any one of the trilogy’s games, removing the previous need to own Warhammer III to access it. The change substantially lowers the cost of entry to the series’ largest mode, which combines its settings, factions and content into a single strategy campaign.

Players will still need to own particular games or DLC to use the races and Legendary Lords tied to them; the newly opened mode does not grant all paid content. Immortal Empires contains more than 100 playable Legendary Lords across 24 races, while the free access also includes Warhammer III’s The Lost God prologue campaign.

  • Any trilogy owner will gain Immortal Empires access.
  • Paid factions and Lords remain tied to their content.
  • The campaign spans the trilogy’s combined world.
