Alien: Isolation 2 – another strong female protagonist stalked in a terrifying new world
Creative Assembly is developing Alien: Isolation 2, a sequel to its 2014 survival-horror game, with a new female protagonist, Blake, rather than Amanda Ripley. The game aims to preserve the original’s tense, stealth-focused encounters with an intelligent xenomorph while moving the action to a new planet that combines hostile outdoor spaces with claustrophobic interiors.
Set months after the first game, the story begins when a Weyland-Yutani survey team finds a crashed section of Sevastopol containing the alien from the original. Creative lead Alistair Hope said the studio has been adapting the creature’s hunting behaviour for exterior environments, while retaining the low-fi visual style and likely reintroducing threats such as Working Joes; hostile humans may also return.
