Explained simply
The Incredibles is a Pixar film series about the Parr family, whose members have superpowers and try to balance family life with being superheroes. In the first film, superheroes are outlawed; by the end of the second, they are being accepted again.
The family includes parents Bob and Helen, and their children Violet, Dash and Jack-Jack. Winston Dever, a wealthy businessman, supports the return of superheroes and wants to make their work part of a public league. The films often explore how the family handles the demands of hero work alongside ordinary responsibilities.
The new story builds on questions about who gets to be a superhero and how the Parr children fit into that world. It also continues Bob’s uncertainty about his role as more Supers become active.
