    Marvel unveils VisionQuest trailer as Vision faces Ultron again

    Marvel Studios has released the first official trailer for VisionQuest at Disney’s D23 event, previewing Vision’s life after he escaped Westview. The Disney Plus series will conclude the television story begun by WandaVision, with Vision confronting questions about his identity, his possible son and Ultron’s continuing influence.

    The trailer depicts Vision largely through human-style avatars, including James Spader’s returning Ultron, alongside brief appearances in Vision’s robotic form. Marvel says Vision consults AI personas including F.R.I.D.A.Y., E.D.I.T.H. and J.A.R.V.I.S. before a bounty forces him to flee with Thomas Shepard, who may be a reincarnation of his son; VisionQuest premieres on 14 October.

    Vision is an android superhero in Marvel’s screen universe, first introduced in the film Avengers: Age of Ultron. He was created using advanced artificial intelligence and a powerful object called the Mind Stone, and later formed a relationship with Wanda Maximoff, also known as the Scarlet Witch.

    In WandaVision, Wanda and Vision lived in the fictional town of Westview, where Wanda used her powers to create an altered reality after Vision’s death. The series also introduced a rebuilt version of Vision, often called White Vision, who regained memories of the original but left to work out who he was.

    Ultron is the hostile artificial intelligence responsible for Vision’s original creation and was previously defeated by the Avengers. The story also connects to Wanda and Vision’s twin children, Billy and Tommy, whose existence has remained uncertain outside Wanda’s altered reality.
