Ex-BUTCHER BABIES Singer CARLA HARVEY’s Band THE VIOLENT HOUR Shares New Single ‘Screenager’, Sets 2026 Festival Dates

Blabbermouth · 3 hours ago

The Violent Hour, the heavy rock band led by former Butcher Babies singer Carla Harvey and Anthrax/Pantera musician Charlie Benante, has released a new single, “Screenager”. The song criticises the loss of empathy and real-world connection amid online validation, anonymity and curated digital identities, while its release accompanies plans for several US festival appearances.

Harvey said the music combines the aggression of early Metallica with large melodic choruses, and features a guest guitar solo by Attila Vörös. The band will play Rocklahoma in Oklahoma on 6 September, Louder Than Life in Kentucky on 17 September and Aftershock in California on 1 October; its self-titled debut EP was released by Megaforce Records in July 2025.
